AGNES Engagement Survey

Open until 2 May 2025

As we look towards Agnes Reimagined and plan our reopening, we’re building programs and events that serve the many communities associated with Agnes. We want to hear from you!

Our survey is designed for AGNES members and non-members alike, those who have attended programming and those who have watched eagerly from afar and everyone in between – including those who have never participated—yet!

Please take a few minutes to fill out Agnes Engagement Survey so that our programming and membership packages meet your needs! Survey closes 2 May 2025

A Smile Split by the Stars

Exhibition + events

Last Saturday night, to a packed house at Gallery 44, the legendary poet, essayist, novelist, and playwright, nourbeSe philip delivered an incredibly  moving reading of her poetry, featuring older and newer work, including, Meditations on the Declension of Beauty by the Girl with the Flying Cheek-bones. This poem served as the inspiration for Agnes’s collaboration with Gallery 44 on the exhibition A Smile Split by the Stars, An Experiment by Katherine McKittrick, which launched the previous week and is accompanied by a constellation of related events.

The programming continues with two facilitated reading sessions led by Katherine McKittrick, as well as a panel discussion featuring McKittrick, Cristian Ordóñez, Nasrin Himada, and moderated by Aaliyah Strachan.

For more information about the exhibition or to register for upcoming events, please visit A Smile Split by the Stars.
