Event
ON-SITE: 207 Stuart St. 17 August 2024 2–4pm
In summer of 2022, artists Oriah Scott, EronOne, HONE, HUNGR, AJ Little and Emily May Rose (+ invited guests) graffiti’d AGNES’s facades.
Building AGNES’s street cred while celebrating submerged cultural histories of Kingston, this glorious and beloved artwork entitled Transformations will now be demolished as construction begins for Agnes Reimagined.
Come out to our Demo-lution Party to mark this moment and get a brick!
Word to the wise – only members will receive a brick, so if you want one, make sure you’re a member before the party! You can become a member for as low as $20!
Demo-lution Party brings back the artists who created Transformations and features music by DJ Kid Koncussion and artmaking with interdisciplinary artist, Alejandro Arauz. Alejandro will have his mobile printing press, helping participants make custom T-shirts as part of our People’s Saloon, Agnes’s platform of socially-engaged artistic activations in public spaces at various Kingston sites that illuminate hidden cultural histories of this place.
Food will be provided by Chef Josh Blake, of @therealjerkbago. Our food tickets are sold out but you can join the waitlist OR bring your own picnic!
Our nomadic, all-ages artmaking workshop, Creation Station will be onsite with a family-friendly Demo-lution Party-themed activity, run by Transformations artist, EronOne! All are welcome to participate.
Tickets are FREE, but you must register to save your spot.
