Exhibition

The Clearing: Opening Reception

19 September 6:00–8:00 pm @ Rideau Building (207 Stuart St)

In this installation, artists Marney McDiarmid and Clelia Scala reimagine a shipping container to transport viewers from a space of global commodity to an organic ecosystem that values introspection, delight, and connection!

Viewers are invited to participate in an act of regeneration by bringing personal documents to the exhibit, such as old letters, journal entries, notes, etc, shredding them and adding them to the artists’ landscape.

The Clearing features a poem by Sadiqa de Meijer, a soundscape by Matt Rogalsky and a mural by Lee Stewart.

The Clearing runs until 12 October 2025.  The opening reception on 19 September is free and no registration is required. For more information visit the exhibition page.
