Get ready for the Demo-lution!

Get pumped for the Demo-lution Party on 17 August, 2-4pm

Only a few more days until Agnes blows the roof off (not literally) Queen’s campus with our Demo-lution Party!  To get you pumped up, team Agnes has put together a themed playlist all about breaking down walls, knocking things over and shaking things up!

Demo-lution Party celebrates the artwork Transformations and its creators, Oriah Scott, EronOne, HONE, HUNGR, AJ Little and  Emily May Rose (+ invited guests).  With beats by DJ Kid Koncussion, artmaking with Alejandro Arauz and Eronone, and food by Jerkbago, this FREE all-ages party will be one for the books.

Unfortunately food tickets have all been given away, but come out for the music and free artmaking and bring a picnic! Register today!

Toronto Biennial of Art 21 Sept - 1 Dec 2024

Toronto artist Sameer Farooq is Agnes’s Stonecroft Artist-in-Residence for 2024. This past summer, Sameer has been busy in his Kingston studio, shellacking flatbreads and constructing the sculptural armatures for his work Flatbread Libary, which will be on display next month at the Toronto Biennial of Art.

As part of the residency, Queen’s students Kelby Paquette Anderson and Isabella Machado Altoé had the opportunity to assist Sameer during his production weeks in Kingston. Additional technical assistance provided by Ryan Laidman.

The Toronto Biennial of Art opens 21 September and runs until 1 December 2024. This co-commissioned artwork will be located at one of the Biennial sites,  The Auto Building at 158 Stirling Road.
