In this class, participants work with Acrylic Gel transfers to turn favourite photographs and drawings into paintings. Incorporating text, image and objects, this is a class for artists of all experience levels.

INSTRUCTOR BIOGRAPHY

Christina McLachlan has worked in the visual arts for the past 28 years, as an artist and arts educator. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where she studied watercolour, printmaking and art history. While living in Sudbury, Christina worked as a gallery curator and art critic for Sudbury’s “Northern Life” newspaper. The rocks and rugged character of northern Ontario remain as influences in her painting.

MATERIALS NEEDED

Gel medium – 1 container matt medium 500 ml. (Art Noise)
3 – 8” X 10” canvas panels
1 – 16” X 20” canvas
Acrylic Paints – 6 + of your favourite colours
