Register for Intro to Drypoint Printmaking

Fee: $130, $100 members and students.

Drypoint is the most basic and immediate of the intaglio printmaking techniques. This introductory course offers hands-on experience with printing plates, ink and the etching press. Led by artist Rebecca Cowan, students will be encouraged to hone their printing skills and newly learned techniques in order to complete a signed and numbered limited edition. Materials provided.

INSTRUCTOR BIOGRAPHY
Rebecca Cowan is an award-winning printmaker and book artist living in Kingston. Over the last twenty-five years her work has been exhibited extensively in Canada, as well as internationally. In addition to the prizes she has been awarded from the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, Organization of Kingston Women Artists, and the Kingston Arts Council, she has also received grants from Open Studio, the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council. In Kingston, Ms Cowan is represented by Studio 22.
