Dr Steven Stowell, Associate Professor of Art History at Concordia University, presents a lecture on the artist’s development in the context of the Italian Renaissance. His exploration of the intellectual and creative aspects of the artist’s training, based on treatises and writings, expands upon the themes featured in Artists at Work: Picturing Practice in the European Tradition . His talk will be followed by Q&A and refreshments.
