This thumb piano is constructed in the same manner as M01-01 (see file for more details). It has eleven tongues that are laid vertically across the width of the instrument. Like M01-01, three horizontal elements support the tongues so that they are secure and are taut for plucking. There is also a thin, metal rod inserted inside the bottom end of the thumb piano. This rod is threaded with seven beads and three washers. Unlike M01-01, this instrument is etched with a triangle-base pattern that spreads over the lower third of all four sides of the wood chamber.
