The Queering the Collection series of highlights provides a platform to publish various interpretations of works in the collection that disrupt the traditional production of art canons.

Jennifer O’Connor is a writer, artist, and researcher. In her practice, she explores the philosophy of art and aesthetics, feminist and queer theory, and research-creation. Recently, her work has been published in the Literary Review of Canada and Esse, and she has held residencies with the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and the Feminist Art Collective. She is a graduate of the School of Policy Studies at Queen’s University, and she is currently a PhD student in the Social & Political Thought program at York University, where she is also pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Comparative Literature. In 2023, she was a participant at the Institute for World Literature at Harvard University.
