Agnes at Science Rendezvous 2026!

OFF-SITE: Slush Puppie Place, 1 The Tragically Hip Way, Kingston, ON
9 May 2026
10 am–3 pm

Experience the wonder of science and art!

Science Rendezvous is a dynamic, one-day festival where science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics come together to celebrate Canada’s research achievements. People of all ages can engage with local experts from Queen’s University, Kingston Health Sciences Centre, museums, and community organizations in a day of discovery and hands-on learning. This year’s festival theme is Wonder, encouraging visitors to explore, question, and be amazed by the world around them.

Be sure to visit the AGNES X Art Conservation booth, The Art and Science of Cyanotypes and step into the world of early photography! Discover how sunlight, chemistry, and creativity come together in the cyanotype process—one of the oldest photographic techniques. Enjoy live demonstrations, view stunning blue-and-white prints under a microscope, and learn how artists and scientists have used this process to observe, document, and engage with the world around them.

This event is free and open to all! Visit the Science Rendezvous website for more details and a full list of participating groups.
