A joint anniversary celebration with Kingston’s Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre
100 Years of Art is a collaborative celebration of the Agnes and Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre taking place at the Agnes Atrium. The “100 Minutes for 100 Years” forum marks these galleries’ respective 60th and 40th anniversaries of championing visual art with invited presenters for each decade. Speakers will offer anecdotes and insights in ten dynamic 10-minute slots, conjuring the highlights and turning points that have brought us to the present day. Kingston Economic Development CEO Donna Gillespie, a former Agnes docent and curatorial assistant, has agreed to serve as timekeeper, reprising her role in the Agnes’s 1998–1999 ARTCAPS program. Screening/presentation of chronology material from both galleries will set the tone. Delicious refreshments and birthday cake form a centrepiece for the afternoon.
Free Family Care Drop-In is available between 1–4 pm.
