Getting Here

At 36 University Avenue, Agnes is situated in the historic campus of Queen’s University, within walking distance of downtown Kingston, Lake Ontario and Kingston General Hospital.

Public Transit

Agnes is on Kingston Transit bus routes 1, 2, 17 and 18, on University Avenue.

Bus route 20 (operating September–April) and express routes 501, 502, 601, 602, 801, 802 stop nearby at Kingston General Hospital, on Stuart Street.

Bus routes 601 and 801 also stop at Stauffer Library, on Union Street West, one block north of Agnes.

Parking

Enjoy free surface parking on Queen’s campus on weekends and after 5 pm weekdays.

Two paid parking lots are available nearby. Entrance to the underground lot is from Stuart Street, immediately east of University Avenue. The second lot is beside Tindall Field: enter from Albert Street, between Bader Lane and Union Street.

Service parking, with permit only, is at the rear, off Bader Lane.

Accessible parking is on Bader Lane near University Avenue. Visitors holding an Ontario Accessible Parking Permit are encouraged to book this spot (Permit #89) in advance at the reception desk, or by contacting us at aeac@queensu.ca or (613) 533.2190.

Bike racks are available on the north side of the building in front of Jeffrey Hall’s south entrance.

eating

While many special events are catered, there is no regular on-site food service at Agnes. Options on Queen’s University campus vary through the year, with limited summer service. Numerous attractive dining venues are available in downtown Kingston, a short drive or 15-to-20-minute walk away.
