Agnes is accepting booking requests through 28 March 2024. Etherington House is hosting an artist residency from January to March 2024 and is unavailable for additional bookings.

Centrally located in the heart of Queen’s University’s historic campus, Agnes Etherington Art Centre offers a range of facility spaces that can be rented alone or together. For your reception, gala, lecture, conference, performance, workshop or memorial gathering, our contemporary and historical spaces offer sophistication and elegance. Here, high ceilings, historical legacy and creative ambiance combine with excellent amenities, accessible public spaces and the superb hospitality of our staff to make every event at Agnes an unforgettable experience for your guests.

Agnes follows all COVID-19 restrictions and may not be able to accommodate your request or may need to cancel a booked event.

To ensure your event is successful, the following fixtures and access privileges are available:

  • Chairs (up to 100), with configuration at your direction
  • Podium with sound system and digital projector
  • Catering kitchen
  • Access to exhibitions: the gallery wing can be open for your guests.*

Space will not be reserved without a signed contract. Space reservations require a non-refundable booking fee of $100 at the time of acceptance of the booking along with a signed contract, which must be received to complete the space rental reservation. In addition to space rental fees, staffing and set-up charges may apply. Excepting Queen’s University departments, rental fees are subject to HST.

The $100 booking fee will be refunded if Agnes needs to cancel an event due to COVID-restrictions.

Cancellations of a space booking by the client must be made in writing to the Visitor Services Assistant and must be received at least 45 days before the event start date. The booking fee is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. Cancellations less than 48 hours before the event start date will be subject to an additional charge of $100.
