A charming, elegant historical space, the neo-Georgian Etherington House has been restored to reflect the taste and period of Agnes Etherington, the gallery’s founder. The beautifully appointed rooms include art, antiques, period furnishings and a Steinway baby grand piano. Perfect for wine and cheese receptions, private dinners, cocktail parties and theme nights, Etherington House offers four spaces: the Green Room, Drawing Room, Study, and Music Room, a linked sequence of distinctive surroundings. Etherington House also boasts the Franks Gallery: a showcase for the art of our region and research-based exhibitions. Maximum capacity is 48 guests.

The Atrium is the flagship space for events at Agnes. This flexible hall is appropriate for meetings, seminars, special lectures, symposium workshops, presentations, award ceremonies, weddings, receptions, dinners, media events, book launches, screenings, cocktail parties and celebration of life ceremonies. The Atrium can be divided for privacy or small functions. The space is bright, contemporary and climate-controlled. An adjacent catering kitchen supports food service. The Atrium is licensed for 185 guests with capacity for up to 196 guests during non-licensed events. Dinner seating can be arranged for 80 guests. For special lectures, the Atrium can comfortably accommodate theatre-style seating for 100 guests.

The André Biéler Studio is a generous, flexible studio space with sinks, sturdy fixtures, wall-wide north-facing windows and black-out blinds. The studio also features a projector and screen as well as ceiling-mounted speakers. This is the perfect environment for skills-development, workshops and creative seminars for up to 25 people, and it seats 50 in a lecture format.

Suitable for meetings, seminars, staff retreats, conference sessions or catered dinners, this space is adjacent to the Atrium. It is equipped with a conference phone, projector, computer with wireless keyboard and speakers. Dinner capacity is 18 people; room capacity is 40.
