Artist Talk by the 2017–2018 Koerner Artist-in-Residence in Queen’s Fine Art Program
Winnipeg-based artist Karel Funk is the 2017–2018 Koerner Artist-in-Residence in Queen’s Fine Art Program: this is your chance to hear him speak about his art. Funk’s haunting paintings bridge Renaissance portraiture and contemporary post-humanism. In 2016, he was the subject of a retrospective exhibition at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, and his work is held in major museum collections across North America. Funk is in-residence 4–17 March, thanks to the generous support of the Koerner Foundation.
