This tuxedo suit was worn by William (Bill or Willie) Morrison (Glen Norman, ON, 1882-Alexandria, ON, 1972), who lived much of his life in eastern Ontario, while working for the Canadian Pacific Railway. It is believed by the family that he acquired the tuxedo in Montreal during the early part of WWI, in which he served first as a lieutenant and later captian. ‘Art Kraft’ Clothes, maker of the jacket, was a Sherbrooke, Quebec, manufacturer, and Tooke Brothers Ltd., maker of the collars, was a well-known Montreal clothier. The New York Arrow brand of shirts was a popular choice among Canadian men in the early 20th century.
