As a Museum Technician Assistant, Grace LeSurf has worked closely with the collection to handle, inventory, pack, and move thousands of works of art and cultural belongings to off-site storage in anticipation of Agnes Reimagined.
Grace recently graduated from Queen’s University with a degree in Art History and was previously a Collections Research Assistant at Agnes. Grace is resuming her studies this year to complete her Bachelor of Education. She hopes to combine her love of art and teaching in a museum or gallery.
“It was an incredible experience to work closely with so many amazing works of art,” says Grace. “I could touch and care for works I could only view from a distance during my studies – works by respected artists such as Andy Warhol, Rembrandt and Norval Morrisseau. I have also been introduced to new styles and artists that I would otherwise never have known or been able to experience in such an intimate setting.”
