Heritage Quilt Collection

We are saddened by the passing of Frances (Fran) Crandall on 3 January. Among her many accomplishments, Crandall was a co-founder and vital supporter of the Heritage Quilt Collection at the Agnes. In 1980, she, along with fellow Kingston Heirloom Quilters Margaret Rhodes and Diane Berry, proposed the creation of a quilt collection of historical, regional and aesthetic significance. Today, this collection numbers eighty-nine quilts, a feat made possible by Crandall’s generosity and initiative.
