Angels in the Moon Anges dans la lune
1960 1960

The Natsivaar—along with Kenojuak Ashevak, Mary Pitseolak, Angotigalu Teevee and Pudlo Pudlat (all adjacent)—was among the earliest contributors to the Cape Dorset Annual Print Collection, a catalogue of limited-edition prints released every year by Kinngait Studios since 1959. Natsivaar’s angels, indicative of the influence of Christianity on the Kinngait community, appear to wear stylized yet traditional warm Inuit clothing. Angels in the Moon was the first work by an Inuit artist to be purchased by the Agnes Etherington Art Centre, four years after its founding._
