Purchased in Ghana at a local market in 1963 bt Laural Kropp. These pots were commonly used at the time of purchase, but are now rarely made. A version is produced now for the tourist trade. This pot would enter the AEAC ethnology collection, to accompany another very large cooking pot previously donated by Mrs. Kropp.
