“Uncanny Cities” is the seventh instalment in this ongoing series by Donald Rance. This collection of inkjet printed images begins with quotations from Freud, Hal foster, Anthony Vidler, and de Chirico concerning the uncanny. The photographs that follow take the viewer on a guided tour of a mysterious town, beginning at the city limits, through it’s neighbourhoods, into it’s homes, behind closed doors, down into the cellars and finally right back out to the city limits.
