Inspired by exhibiting artist Chantal Rousseau’s animal watercolours, young artists, ages 6–12, will take inspiration from the natural world, exploring and collecting objects in outside spaces to create their own animal artworks.
Barb Danielewski is a screenprinter and community artist who has delivered hundreds of workshops as a LDSB Artist in Residence, through the City of Kingston Artist Roster, at the Queens Conference on Education 2019, at community youth programs in Kingston, Toronto, and rural Ontario, and as a private instructor for young artists’ birthday parties. Her programs celebrate resilience, curiosity, and choice, providing space for conversations that matter. Her methodology supports a wide range of creative styles, including those who don’t yet consider themselves artists. As a mentor to emerging artist educators and creatives, she promotes and facilitates professional development workshops with Partners for Youth Empowerment International, and creates frameworks of community support through her arts practice. www.barbdanielewski.com
