Led by painter Julie Davidson Smith, this course focuses on process, exploration and learning how to navigate painting on a large surface. Participants will draw inspiration from the work of Canadian artists in the exhibition In the Present: The Zacks Gift of 1962. Materials are not provided.

Materials: 2 – 36”x48” or larger canvases, selection of 12+ acrylic paint colours, mat and gloss medium, selection of 12+ large and small brushes, sketch book.

Julie Davidson-Smith is an artist and facilitator with an expertise in encaustic and acrylic painting. With over 20 years of experience exhibiting and teaching, Julie is passionate about making art and guiding others on their creative journey, helping them to grow, let go and take risks to actualize their creative potential.
