       Apply for a bursary

Agnes makes creative art programming accessible to children and youth in our communities through bursaries, based on financial need, that enable participation in art classes and camps. Bursaries for the program are made possible by the Rita Friendly Kaufman fund.

Inspired by exhibiting artist Chantal Rousseau’s animal watercolours, young artists, ages 6–12, will take inspiration from the natural world, exploring and collecting objects in outside spaces to create their own animal artworks.

This program takes place over two virtual lessons scheduled in the morning and afternoon. The camp size is kept small with a maximum of 14 campers. Parental guidance is welcome, but not mandatory.

Art supplies are included in the cost of the camp and kits are available for pickup 22–23 September, 10 am–4:30 pm or 24 September, 10 am–9 pm. In special circumstances, delivery may be requested with an added shipping fee. In order to participate in Virtual PA Day Art Activities, you will need access to a stable internet connection, a free Zoom account, a computer, laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone and a dedicated space to make art.

Please email aeacpa@queensu.ca with any questions.

This program is supported by support from the City of Kingston Arts Fund through the Kingston Arts Council, the Ontario Arts Council, an agency of the Government of Ontario, and the Rita Friendly Kaufman Fund.
