In conjunction with exhibitions The Unvarnished Truth: Exploring the Material History of Paintings and Key Works Unlocked: Peel and Suzor-Coté.
Go way behind-the-scenes! In conjunction with exhibitions The Unvarnished Truth: Exploring the Material History of Paintings and Key Works Unlocked: Peel and Suzor-Coté, the Master in Art Conservation program at Queen’s—the only such program in Canada— offers these special tours of conservation labs. The 45-minute tours will feature the paintings-and-objects lab, highlighting projects such as the Kenneth Holmden painting recently discovered in Kingston and ancient Egyptian coffin lid fragments, as well as the photography studio.
Space is limited; register to attend by calling (613) 533.2190. The tour begins in the Atrium of the Agnes.
