Agnes at Science Rendezvous 2025!

OFF-SITE: Slush Puppie Place, 1 The Tragically Hip Way, Kingston, ON
10 May 2025
10 am–3 pm

Experience the wonder of science and art!

Science Rendezvous is a dynamic, one-day festival where science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics come together to celebrate Canada’s research achievements. People of all ages can engage with local experts from Queen’s University, Kingston Health Sciences Centre, museums, and community organizations in a day of discovery and hands-on learning. This year’s festival theme is Wonder, encouraging visitors to explore, question, and be amazed by the world around them.

Be sure to visit the AGNES X Art Conservation booth, themed Looking Closely. Dive into the world of art conservation and textiles with a Crazy Quilt from Agnes’s collection and take part in three interactive activities:

See, Think, Wonder  – Engage in close looking and thoughtful discussion.

Condition Report  – Try your hand at assessing the condition of an artifact.

Hands-on Exploration  – Experience textiles up close with magnifying glasses and microscopes.

This exciting event is free and open to all! Visit the primary Science Rendezvous website for more details and a full list of participating groups.
