Join us for an exchange between artist Shannon Bool and Anne-Marie St-Jean Aubre, curator of contemporary art, Musée d’art de Joliette. To introduce the exhibition Modernism and Its Discontents, the pair will reflect on Bool’s amalgamation of opposing materials, techniques and concepts to invent aesthetic “cases of dissociation.” They will discuss Bool’s practice in relation to the unconscious drives of Modernism in art and architecture, followed by a Q&A session and reception.
