Vera Frenkel's art reflects contemporary concerns in its multi-disciplinary character but also and primarily perhaps by its method of inquiry which relies on the use of daily myths and cliches to discover the underlying structure and, like structuralist methodology, attempts to analyze '... surface events and phenomena ... by structures, data and phenomena below the surface.'
