Help us sustain and enhance our capacity for innovation and amplify the impact of the art we champion through inspiring exhibitions, public programs and academic engagement programs.

We cannot achieve this vision without the support of benefactors like you.

Our work at Agnes is driven by the belief that encounters with original works of art contribute to understanding the world, ourselves and others. For the Queen’s community, the gallery and its programs are an inspiring research resource, a refuge of aesthetic sustenance, a ceremonial and social gathering place, and a creative laboratory of visual culture for students and faculty across many disciplines. For the wider community, it is a cultural beacon for art lovers that connects them with art and artists, deep knowledge of wider art movements, and with one another.

“Joining Agnes as a member helps people feel like stakeholders in their community organizations. It’s important for art galleries to have a diverse membership base that represents all of Kingston. The gallery is a welcoming space and it’s important for community members to feel that the art gallery is theirs.”

Re-Imagine your legacy at Agnes

“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time” (T. Merton)

Imagine a student from the Class of 2061 finding themselves in Robert Houle’s Zero Hour and losing themselves in one of Rembrandt’s portraits; a 7th grader learning the art of observation in the galleries of Agnes Etherington Art Centre; an artist not yet born having their first museum exhibition.

You can help us amplify the impact of the art we champion through inspiring exhibitions, public programs and academic engagement for generations to come!

Legacy giving is an important and meaningful way for you to contribute to the success of Agnes Etherington Art Centre and Queen’s University. With your commitment to the future, you will ensure that the art which inspires you today will continue to play a central role in the Queen’s community and beyond. A legacy gift also gives you the satisfaction of knowing that future generations of artists and art lovers will benefit from your dedication.

Your gift to Agnes will ensure that the next generation of art lovers has access to our extensive collection and engaging programming.

How to direct your legacy giving to Agnes Etherington Art Centre
