The Agnes Etherington Art Centre recently presented its “Season launch” to a capacity crowd of art lovers, patrons, enthusiasts, students and the curious. AEAC Director Jan Allen thanked the lively crowd for their attendance and spoke of her admiration for the “Must See” exhibitions in this season’s line up. She also thanked the many hands involved in assembling this impressive show. Artist Charles Stankievech presented an overview of “Monument as Ruin” a stunning exhibition of video, photographic and sculptural impact. Renown Professor Stephanie Dickey introduced “Artists Working in Amsterdam” a rich and beautiful insight into history. Art, conversation and refreshments flowed throughout this fascinating evening.
