Free Family Care Drop-In

Sundays 25 September–13 November 2016
2–4 pm

Young children can make simple print-making projects with qualified educators while parents view our exhibitions.

Young children can make simple print-making projects with qualified educators while parents view our exhibitions. These activities are designed for children of any age and led by a certified early childhood educator and an assistant in a safe environment. Spaces will be available on a “first come, first served” basis and are strictly for use during gallery visits.

This free care program is inspired by the work of artist Ciara Phillips. Her show, Ciara Phillips: Comrade Objects portrays hidden forms of labour through the medium of screenprint. The other shows on view are: Treasures and Tales: Early Collections at Queen’s; The Other NFB: The National Film Board of Canada’s Still Photography Division, 1941–1971; Singular Figures: Portraits and Character Studies in Northern Baroque Painting; and Stories to Tell: Africans and the Diaspora Respond to the Lang Collection.

This program was generously funded by the George Taylor Richardson Memorial Fund. The Agnes receives funding from Queen’s University, the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, City of Kingston Arts Fund, Ontario Arts Foundation, Government of Canada, Community Foundation for Kingston and Area, and the Lloyd Carr-Harris Foundation.
