A series of free, drop-in rehearsal viewings
As part of Soundings: An Exhibition in Five Parts, witness Lisa C. Ravensbergen’s open devising process in the Atrium where she will be posing a sequence of questions and images of ancestral lands on opposite walls. Each day, a new question and image are added to the last, and each day, the artist begins her exploration through gesture and voice. Through this evolving set of questions and images, the artist asks how we embody intimate acts of defiance, reclamation, and a call to the Good Life/Bimaadiziwin.
This drop-in open devising process may sometimes invite visitors to engage in conversation and action with the artist. We otherwise encourage visitors to please respect the artist with your quiet presence. This process is in preparation for Ravensbergen’s performance Wani’/Lost at The Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts. Visit The Isabel’s website for details.
Please note: 16–17 March dates have been cancelled.
