Emerging from artist Sameer Farooq’s time in Kingston as AGNES’s 2023–2024 Stonecroft Artist-in-Residence, a co-commissioned sculptural work engages audiences of the Toronto Biennial of Art. Farooq’s sculptural work Flatbread Library is part of a broader research trajectory that traces the origins, migrations, transformations and commonalities of flatbreads. Farooq gives a public talk, jointly presented with the Queen’s BFA (Visual Art) Program, in Kingston on 7 November.
