Agnes’s programs are shortlisted for GOG Awards!

Galeries Ontario / Ontario Galleries (GOG) is pleased to announce Shortlisted Nominees for the 45th Annual, 2022 GOG Awards. As the only annual juried awards of its kind, the iconic GOG Awards celebrate the outstanding achievement, artistic merit, and excellence of arts institutions and professionals in the public art gallery sector. This year is the first time since the beginning of the pandemic that we are back in-person with all Awards categories. The ceremony is on Monday, 28 November 2022 at 5 pm EST.

Agnes’s programs are shortlisted for several, including Curatorial Writing with Sunny Kerr’s Speculative Fiction in the Work of Ibghy and Lemmens; Art Writing Award with Britta B’s Black Balance; Art Publication Award with Danuta Sierhuis’s With Opened Mouths: The Podcast; and Design Award with Vincent Perez’s TomThomson? The Art of Authentication.

The remaining Awards do not have a shortlist, winners will be announced live during the ceremony:

Galeries Ontario / Ontario Galleries (GOG) has a 50-year history as an arts service organization (ASO) which represents over 260 members—public art galleries, museums, artist-run-centers, and arts organizations. For over 40 years, its annual award program has been defining the standards of excellence for the visual arts in Canada. Through advocacy on issues, policy, legislation to all levels of government, and delivery of innovative and cutting-edge professional development opportunities and network-building, GOG advances, empowers, and strengthens the visual arts sector in Canada.
