Join us for our Spring/Summer Season Launch! Members’ Preview 5 to 6 pm, with remarks at 6 pm and the Public Reception 6 to 7:30 pm. Galleries remain open to 9 pm.
We will be celebrating four beautiful new exhibitions: the research-rich Puvirnituq Graphic Arts in the 1960s (curated by Alysha Strongman); the imaginatively staged Stepping Out: Clothes for a Gallery Goer; the immersive media world of Kingston artist Emily Pelstring’s Any Saint, and the raw, open and playfully discursive Let’s Talk About Sex, bb (by co-curators Carina Magazzeni and Erin Sutherland).
MEMBERS’ PREVIEW: One of the benefits of Agnes membership is access to the Season Launch Members’ Preview sessions. This season we have a dynamo lineup including talks by curators, artists, and a performative reading by Lindsay Nixon. Nixon is a Cree-Métis-Saulteaux curator, award-nominated editor and writer, and current Editor-at-Large for Canadian Art. To top off this celebratory occasion, we anticipate a memorable art-unveiling in The Bader Gallery.
