Celebrate new exhibitions
Join us for our Winter Season Launch! Members’ Preview 5 to 6 pm, with remarks at 6 pm and the Public Reception 6 to 7:30 pm. Galleries remain open to 9 pm.
We are introducing two new shows. Soundings: An Exhibition in Five Parts is an immersive and evolving experience of Indigenous cultures curated by Candice Hopkins and Dylan Robinson. Rome, Capital of Painting , curated by Jacquelyn N. Coutré, reveals the place Rome occupied in the mind of seventeenth-century artists.
SPECIAL FEATURE: Following remarks in the Public Reception, there will be a performance by Rachel Kiyo Iwaasa. A visiting artist from Vancouver, Iwaasa is one of Canada’s foremost contemporary music pianists. She will perform Tania Willard’s score, Surrounded/Surrounding, the first to be played as part of the exhibition Soundings.
