Artist residencies offer an opportunity for new and vital artistic creation, research and engagement. Research residencies deepen our research capacity, aligning with the research environment at Queen’s University, responding to our immediate civic context and advancing the field at large.
The Stonecroft Artist-in-Residence program invites outstanding Canadian contemporary artists to undertake vital artistic creation and research. Generously supported by the Stonecroft Foundation for the Arts, the program emphasizes artistic exchange, new forms of access to research resources, and extended encounters with contemporary artists, their work, and their processes for Queen’s University and its wider communities. The program sparks enduring relationships and networks with leading artists.
